At this very moment, the new South Pole Station is being built.  They have workers building 24 hours a day, although the night shift seems to be the least active out of all the other shifts- this is probably a mixture of swing and night shifts since this picture was taken at about 11 at night..  This part is the new wing, which supposedly will contain a new gym and lab space.  On the right is the ironwork for the new dormitory wing.  From what I hear, these guys will only be working outside for the next month or so.  After that and as station closing approaches, all work will start to shift inside and it will be mostly interior work from that point on.
