Christmas day is when the traditional "Race Around the World" occurs. The world revolves around us over here and we have to celebrate it! The course was was two miles long around the station, or four laps. Costumes are optional- some people seem to take it very seriously with full on cold weather jogging gear, but other people scrounge together whatever accessories they can cannibalize out of the station. I decided to do something special too! But I hurt myself a little doing this. As you can probably guess, it's still below freezing, blue sky and all. It was actually about -11F (-25C) today, and when you run around taking full breaths of air into your lungs, freezing air, there's probably going to be some consequences! Let's just say that after two miles (about 16 minutes I think), I felt like I was going to suffocate if I ran any further!
