We usually get planes in everyday except Sunday and the holidays as long as weather allows them to come in, or, if the pilots feel ok about flying over here. I don't think the weather is as bad here as McMurdo because while it's colder here, the conditions are usually steadier. Here, an LC-131 has just come in, probably with cargo and maybe a few passengers and more likely, NO mail! Mail is an optional thing here- they can throw it in if they feel like it, but it seems like it's the last priority, especially when you get mail that was meant for Thanksgiving and it gets there after Xmas! Here, you can also see the skeleton of the other dormitory wing of the new station and some of the various equipment and materials involved in this part of the construction. They have ironworkers here working on this part, but I think they might be wrapping it up in the next few weeks and won't have the paneling up until next season.
