Today was our first attempt at launching a plastic balloon for our ozone measurement. It's too cold for latex balloons now as they tend to get brittle and pop before getting as high as we want them to, so now we're switching over to the plastic variety. It's a little bit different- filling them is different and you definitely need at least two people to launch these, where with the latex balloons, you can launch with only one person easily. The guy on the left is Kris, one of the met people here and Jason is batting the balloon on the right.
