We over at ARO have the special privilege of declaring when winter actually happens here. How can we do that? Why with this little red button! It says "winter" doesn't it? Ok, so we don't have that kind of power over nature- this button just shuts off the the data leads from the roof solar instruments when we bring them inside for the winter, and today was that day. But I think it's pretty cool to have this little setup. All good science projects should have cool little red buttons controlling them, don't you think?
