Over the past few weeks, one of the comms techs has been taking people up on top of the Dome- a little tour so to speak (because you go up the Dome and then back down again).  This was in response to hearing about and seeing people wandering up the Dome on their own.  As you can guess, going on top of the Dome isn't allowed normally- not only for the very obvious safety issues (the holes to the right of the kneeling person are the very top and drop all the way down to the bottom inside, about 30 feet or so), but also there are some very vital communications cables running all over the place for all the antennae, things that would be bad to break.  So rather than simply forbid people from going up, they organized tours, which I thought was a nice, proactive way to deal with the problem.  So this was my day to get harnessed up and go up.  It's one of the better views of the station and the surrounding buildings.  From here, you can see the station, then to the left of it you can see three partially buried arched buildings.  The furthest right one with the smoke coming out from one end is the new power plant, the next one over is the old heavy shop, and third one on the left is the new heavy shop.
