A few VIPER pictures.....
The telescope is within the large cone-shaped structure seen on the previous page. The tech, Justus, got the job to get some real experience in preparation for grad school. The telescope also requires liquid helium, which they ran out of so it wasn't taking data when I came over but from what I hear, it was still a successful measurement season.
The control room- everything is automated so he usually
runs things from the next room over.
Justus showing off the cryo-shed where they keep liquid
nitrogen.
Looking down at the telescope.
Another view of the telescope, seen previously.
A couple more views of the control room.
